FREDDY L are an alternative three-piece based between Durban and Cape Town, balancing alternative indie influences with a South African singer-songwriter sensibility. The group started as a solo project by its lead singer, Ntutuko "Freddy" Lalendle, and expanded in 2023 when Reece Berkeley joined on drums and production and Niclaus Duvenhage, previously known as Spectr, on bass and production. Several singles have followed the debut track, "Hold On", which climbed the charts across various platforms, and the band have since set about taking their live set to the world.
