Flyleaf are an American rock band formed in Belton, Texas, in 2002, initially performing as Passerby before adopting their name in 2004. Blending alternative and hard rock with spiritual themes, their self-titled 2005 debut went platinum, selling over a million copies, while 2009's Memento Mori debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard chart. Lacey Sturm fronted the band from 2002 to 2012, was succeeded by Kristen May, and rejoined in 2022. Across four studio albums they became a mainstay of heavy touring circuits, appearing on the Family Values Tour and Download Festival and co-headlining with Breaking Benjamin and Three Days Grace. Their early rise was built on the road, and their intense, cathartic live sets earned them a devoted following.
