Fabiano do Nascimento

Fabiano do Nascimento is a Brazilian-American guitarist, composer, producer and arranger, born in Rio de Janeiro and now based between Los Angeles and Tokyo, known for his work across multi-string and alternately tuned guitars. His music weaves Afro-samba, folk and choro traditions together with jazz, experimental music and electronica. The great-grandson of saxophonist Ladário Teixeira, he began on classical piano before taking up guitar at the age of ten under his uncle, bassist and composer Lucio Nascimento. He has released sixteen albums for labels including Leaving Records, Now-Again, Real World and Far Out Recordings, and his 2026 collaborative record Vila was named Global Album of the Month by The Guardian. His delicate, virtuosic playing reached wide audiences through a 2020 NPR Tiny Desk concert.
