About
Dżem are a blues rock band from Tychy in Poland, whose long association with Ryszard Riedel — one of the country's most famous vocalists — shaped their reputation. Their songs include "Czerwony jak cegła", "Whisky", "Wehikuł czasu", "Sen o Victorii", "Harley mój", "Mała aleja róż", "Naiwne pytania" and "List do M.". The name is an accident that stuck: the band were simply "Jam", after the jam session, until a woman writing out the billing before a concert spelled it the Polish way, as the word for fruit preserve. They backed Eric Clapton at his concert in Gdynia on 14 August 2008.
