Doe Paoro is the stage name of Sonia Jill Kreitzer, whose singing carries the mark of Lhamo, the centuries-old Tibetan folk opera tradition she trained in while travelling alone through the Himalayas. She wrote the debut, Slow to Love, isolated in a cabin near her hometown of Syracuse, and released it in 2012; After followed on ANTI- in 2015, and Soft Power, cut live to tape in London with Jimmy Hogarth, in 2018. Living Through Collapse arrived in 2025. She often opens a set with an a cappella Tibetan prayer.
