Dierks Bentley is an American country singer-songwriter, born in Phoenix, Arizona, in 1975, who moved to Nashville in the late 1990s and worked at The Nashville Network while chasing a record deal. His 2003 debut single 'What Was I Thinkin'' topped the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, launching a run of 18 country number ones that includes 'Come a Little Closer,' 'Sideways,' 'Home' and 'Drunk on a Plane.' He has released eleven studio albums, drawing on bluegrass as readily as mainstream country, won the CMA Horizon Award in 2005 and joined the Grand Ole Opry the same year. A relentless headliner who has toured alongside Miranda Lambert and Luke Combs, Bentley is known onstage for high-energy, crowd-first arena and amphitheatre shows.
