Dave Pearce

Dave Pearce is an English dance DJ, producer and broadcaster, born David Alistair Pearce in Surrey in 1963. He came up through pirate radio and BBC Radio London in the 1980s, where he created the corporation's first hip-hop programme, before joining the launch line-up of Kiss 100 FM in 1990. Moving to BBC Radio 1 in 1995, he built and hosted the long-running Dance Anthems, which became one of the station's highest-rating shows across its decade on air, and later broadcast on 6 Music and Radio 2. In 2000 he founded the label NuLife Recordings with BMG. Across residencies at clubs and festivals in the UK and beyond, Pearce remains a fixture of British dance culture, spinning the euphoric anthems his radio brand made famous.
