Daughtry are an American rock band formed and fronted by Chris Daughtry, a finalist on the fifth season of American Idol. Their self-titled debut arrived in November 2006, went to number one on the Billboard 200, sold more than six million copies in the United States and became the fastest-selling debut rock album in Nielsen SoundScan history — Billboard named it the best-selling album of 2007. It produced four top 20 hits including "It's Not Over" and "Home". Leave This Town gave them a second number one in 2009, and Break the Spell, Baptized, Cage to Rattle and Dearly Beloved followed.
