Current Joys is the project of American musician Nick Rattigan, born in Henderson, Nevada, in 1992 and now based between Los Angeles and Dallas. He recorded first as The Nicholas Project and then TELE/VISIONS before settling on the Current Joys name in 2016, and he also drums and sings in the surf-rock duo Surf Curse. His output moves through lo-fi indie rock, new wave and bedroom pop across albums including A Different Age, Voyager and 2023's Love + Pop, with a raw, diaristic streak that has earned a devoted online following. He has collaborated widely, teaming with Lil Yachty on the track “Gatsby”. On stage Current Joys trades on emotional intensity, a cult draw whose songs spread largely through fan word of mouth.
