Culture Club are an English pop band formed in London in 1981, made up of Boy George on lead vocals, Roy Hay on guitar and keyboards and Mikey Craig on bass guitar; drummer Jon Moss officially left in May 2021. They emerged in the New Romantic scene, and their music has been described as combining new wave and American soul and pop. "Do You Really Want to Hurt Me" and "Karma Chameleon" were UK number ones, the latter the biggest-selling single of 1983 in the UK and a number one hit in the US, and their second album, Colour by Numbers, sold more than 10 million copies worldwide. In 1984 they won the Grammy Award for Best New Artist. The band reformed in 2014, and Life (2018) was their first new album in nearly 20 years.
