Cruel Season are a new Liverpool-based alt-indie band formed by Arran O'Connell-Whittle, Carl Dillon, Dylan Robert and Josh Higgins. Arran, Carl and Josh had played together before in The Night Café, a band that built a loyal following through years of touring and sold-out shows across the UK and beyond; after time away from music they went back to the rehearsal room and started Cruel Season with Dylan Robert. Their debut single "Crawl" was recorded with their long-time collaborator Rob Whiteley and released on 31 July, an introduction built on emotionally honest songwriting and a restless energy about connection, distance and uncertainty. September brings their first-ever live shows, a debut run of UK headline dates.
