About
Clayton Nile Young is a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter based in Charleston, West Virginia, who blends alternative country, bluegrass and folk into a sound he calls "Holler Poetry". "It all started when I fell off a cliff," as his story goes: he grew up playing drums, then taught himself fiddle in hospital after a rock climbing accident, on his grandfather's heirloom fiddle. His debut album, Della, is named after his daughter; its follow-up, Eddy, is a tragic love story told in narrative songs. He plays Eddie's Attic with Sunriver.
