Cirque De La Symphonie

Cirque de la Symphonie is a touring circus troupe based in Athens, Georgia, incorporated in 2005 by William H. Allen and Alexander Streltsov. Allen conceived of pairing circus arts with fine art in the 1990s while travelling in Russia, where he recruited Streltsov, and in 1998 the two worked with Erich Kunzel of the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra on a show that set an acrobat against a symphony orchestra. The response led them to stage the same idea across other states and then to incorporate; their first major show was with the Houston Symphony. They perform only with live orchestras, always on stage together rather than with the players in a pit, and have appeared with over 100 orchestras.
