Christia Visser

Christia Visser (born 2 March 1992) is a South African actress and singer, raised in Swellendam. She trained in theatre and completed an Advanced Acting for Film diploma at Act Cape Town, with classical voice training. In 2016 she played the title role in the film Tess (an adaptation of Tracey Farren's novel Whiplash), winning Best Actress at the Durban International Film Festival and earning a 2017 SAFTA nomination. She starred as Lillie Human in Die Boekklub (2016–2021). She began releasing Afrikaans music in 2019 with singles '17 Shots' and 'Die Deur', followed by her debut album Gemaklik Verlore (2020).
