Keith Farrelle Cozart, known as Chief Keef, is an American rapper and record producer born on 15 August 1995 who is credited with carrying the hip hop subgenre drill to mainstream audiences and is considered a progenitor of it. He was recognised regionally for mixtapes as a teenager; the fifth, Back from the Dead, produced "I Don't Like" with Lil Reese in 2012, his first entry on the Billboard Hot 100. A bidding war took him to Interscope Records, which re-released it alongside "Love Sosa". The albums Bang 3, 4Nem and Almighty So 2 each entered the Billboard 200 as independent releases.
