Chase & Status are an English drum and bass duo formed in 2003 by Saul Milton and Will Kennard, who met at university in Manchester and are now based in London. Blending drum and bass with big beat and hip-hop, they broke through with albums More Than Alot (2008) and the chart-topping No More Idols (2011), home to singles such as "End Credits" with Plan B. They run the independent label MTA Records and have worked with Rihanna, Stormzy and Example; their 2024 Stormzy collaboration "Backbone" hit UK number one, the same year they won the Brit Award for Producer of the Year. Renowned for high-energy sets, they have headlined the Reading, Leeds and Download festivals.
