Cat Burns is a British singer-songwriter born in 2000 in Streatham, south London, and a graduate of the BRIT School in Croydon. She works in an indie-pop vein that folds gospel and guitar-led textures into her songwriting. Her 2020 single 'Go' went viral on TikTok two years later and climbed to number two on the UK singles chart, and she has since released the albums Early Twenties (2024), which reached UK number seven, and How to Be Human (2025), which peaked at number five. She has collected three Brit Award nominations, placed in the BBC Sound of 2023 poll and earned a 2024 Mercury Prize nomination. On stage she has supported Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith and Years & Years, and performed on Later... with Jools Holland.
