Casey Barnes is an Australian country-rock singer-songwriter, born in Tasmania in 1978 and raised on the Gold Coast, where he launched his career in the early 2000s. Blending country rock with acoustic and pop-rock textures, he first reached wider audiences as a contestant on Australian Idol in 2009. His albums include Town of a Million Dreams, which reached number 16 on the ARIA chart, Light It Up and 2024's Mayday, which peaked at number 11. Light It Up won the 2022 ARIA Award for Best Country Album, and he has taken APRA Awards for Most Performed Country Work and the Country Music Awards of Australia Album of the Year. A seasoned touring artist at home and abroad, he has headlined stages such as the Caloundra Music Festival.
