About

Caribou is the project of Dan Snaith, a Canadian musician, composer and producer born in Dundas, Ontario in 1978, who also records as Daphni and once performed as Manitoba. His music moves through indietronica, house, folktronica, neo-psychedelia and dream pop across albums including The Milk of Human Kindness, Andorra, Swim, Our Love, Suddenly and 2024's Honey. Andorra won the 2008 Polaris Music Prize, Our Love earned a Grammy nomination for Best Dance/Electronic Album, and he has taken Juno Awards and a BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix of the Year; he also holds a mathematics PhD from Imperial College London. On stage he leads a four-piece band, and has played Coachella, Glastonbury and Bonnaroo and supported Radiohead, building a reputation for euphoric, immersive live shows.
