Buffalo Tom are an American alternative rock band formed in Boston in 1986 by guitarist Bill Janovitz, bassist Chris Colbourn and drummer Tom Maginnis. Their name nods to Buffalo Springfield and their drummer, and they were a mainstay of the US college-rock scene through the 1990s.
