Boy Golden is the stage name of Liam Duncan, a Canadian alternative country singer-songwriter based in Winnipeg. Born and raised in Brandon, he moved to Winnipeg for music and played first in the indie rock band The Middle Coast; after it broke up he released the solo album If I Don't Feel Better under his own name in 2019, and came out of the process drained by its heavy emotional themes. The Boy Golden persona was his answer to that — an easier-going, more positive-minded kind of music. Church of Better Daze, the first album under the name, followed in 2021, and the EP For Jimmy in 2023.
