BO NINGEN are a Japanese four-piece noise rock band who met in London: Taigen Kawabe on bass and vocals, Kohhei Matsuda on guitar and electronics, Yuki Tsujii on guitar and Monchan Monna on drums, from Gumma, Tajimi, Nishinomiya and Tokyo. The name means "Stick Man" in Japanese. Taigen and Kohhei met at a gig in 2006 and formed the first duo; after continual twelve-hour jams in a studio on Hackney Road the band played its first "true" show at the Wilmington Arms in the summer of 2007, then set up its own night, Far East Electric Psychedelic, at Cross Kings in Kings Cross. They have released through Stolen Recordings and Alcopop! Records and performed collaboratively with Damo Suzuki, Faust and Savages.
