About
Blackberry Smoke are an American rock band formed in Atlanta, Georgia, in 2001. The line-up is lead vocalist and lead guitarist Charlie Starr, guitarist Paul Jackson, bassist Richard Turner and keyboardist Brandon Still; co-founder and drummer Brit Turner, Richard's brother, died after a battle with glioblastoma in March 2024. Their debut album, Bad Luck Ain't No Crime, was released in 2003, and The Whippoorwill (2012) brought their first chart success. In 2015 Holding All the Roses made them the first small independent outfit to take an album to No. 1 on the Billboard Country Albums chart, and Like an Arrow did the same in 2016; You Hear Georgia debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Americana/Folk Chart in 2021. They hold an annual Brothers And Sisters Holiday Homecoming at the Tabernacle in Atlanta.
