William Frederic Burr, born in Canton, Massachusetts on 10 June 1968, is an American stand-up comedian, podcaster, actor, writer and director, known for sharp, confrontational observational humour about social issues, politics and the absurdities of the human condition. He graduated from Emerson College in Boston in 1993 and worked in warehouses before comedy, enjoying a job where "if my boss gave me a rough time, I could just get on a forklift and just, like, drive away". He first performed stand-up on 2 March 1992 and moved to New York in 1994. His specials include Paper Tiger and Drop Dead Years; he created and voiced the lead in the Netflix sitcom F Is for Family, played Patrick Kuby in Breaking Bad, and made his Broadway debut in the 2025 revival of Glengarry Glen Ross.
