Bernice West

Bernice West (born Bernice van der Westhuizen, 21 October 2000 in Rustenburg) is an Afrikaans pop singer-songwriter from Swartruggens in the North West province. She first gained attention as the runner-up on kykNET's reality talent competition Maak My Famous around 2019. She launched her recording career with the debut single 'Sonop-Blom' in March 2020, followed by the album Net Geleen (2020) and Jona (2022). Her singles include 'Die Hart' and 'Lyfie'. She is among the younger generation of Afrikaans artists to find commercial success on streaming platforms.
