Berhana is an American singer-songwriter of Ethiopian heritage, born in Atlanta and active since around 2016, working across R&B, soul, pop and rap. His breakout song 'Grey Luh' featured on Donald Glover's acclaimed series Atlanta, helping introduce his hazy, cinematic style. Having studied screenwriting in New York before turning fully to music, he brings a storyteller's eye to his songs, and he released his debut album HAN in 2019 on EQT Recordings, spanning singles such as 'Health Food' and 'Lucky Strike'. He has woven Amharic vocals into tracks like 'Wade Green' and 'Brooklyn Drugs', nodding to his roots, and describes wanting listeners to feel present in the moment with him — an immersive quality he carries into his intimate live shows.
