About
Beartooth is an American rock band founded by vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Caleb Shomo in Columbus, Ohio, in 2012. Shomo began writing Beartooth songs while still a member of the metalcore band Attack Attack!, and it was originally a studio project with Shomo performing all instruments before expanding to a group. Signed to Red Bull Records since 2013, it released the debut EP Sick that year and the album Disgusting in 2014, followed by Aggressive (2016), Disease (2018), Below (2021) and The Surface (2023). Its style has been described as metalcore, alternative metal and hard rock, with an emphasis on melodic hooks and catchy choruses. The single "Free", released in February 2026, was its first release with Fearless Records, and the album Pure Ecstasy followed on August 28, 2026.
