About

Basement are an English rock band from Ipswich, Suffolk, formed in 2009 following the break-up of the pop punk band In This for Fun, and have maintained the same lineup ever since: brothers Andrew and James Fisher on lead vocals and drums, lead guitarist Ronan Crix, rhythm guitarist Alex Henery and bassist Duncan Stewart. Signed to Run for Cover Records, they released I Wish I Could Stay Here in 2011 and Colourmeinkindness in 2012, which charted at number 188 on the US Billboard 200 before the band went on hiatus. Promise Everything followed in 2016 and Beside Myself in 2018. Critics have categorised Basement as alternative rock, emo and post-hardcore. Their fifth studio album, Wired, was released in May 2026.
