Barto (full name Barto Swiegers) is a South African Afrikaans singer-songwriter who emerged as a newcomer in the Afrikaans pop scene. He broke through with his debut single 'H2Oë' and has followed it with tracks including 'Impulsief', 'Ons twee genoeg' (featuring Marissa) and 'Vlam in die wind'. He moved from a day job into full-time music and emphasises writing songs with deeper meaning.
