David Barry Hilton (born 29 January 1956 in Salisbury, Rhodesia) is a South African stand-up comedian, actor, television personality and motivational speaker, known by his middle name Barry and the nickname 'The Cousin'. After working as an electrician, he turned professional in 1983 at age 26. His style blends observational, satirical and physical comedy. He was the first South African to perform at London's Comedy Store and has shared bills with Bob Monkhouse, Billy Connolly, Bobby Davro and Les Dennis. He received the Comics Choice Lifetime Achiever Award in 2013 and remains one of SA's most enduring live comedians.
