Baest are a Danish death metal band formed in Aarhus in 2015, their name a stylised take on 'bæst', Danish for beast. The five-piece — vocalist Simon Olsen, guitarists Lasse Revsbech and Svend Karlsson, bassist Mattias Melchiorsen and drummer Sebastian Abildsten — signed to Century Media Records in 2018. They have released four studio albums to date: Danse Macabre (2018), Venenum (2019), Necro Sapiens (2021) and Colossal (2025), pairing old-school death metal heaviness with a modern, groove-driven edge. Building their name across European stages and festival bills, Baest have become one of the more prominent acts in the current Scandinavian death metal scene, known for a punishing and relentless live assault.
