Aya Coco Danioko, who performs as Aya Nakamura, was born on 10 May 1995 and is a French and Malian singer-songwriter. She started putting music online in 2014 and drew a following with "Karma" and "J'ai mal"; a longtime friend, Dembo Camara, became her producer and manager, and a duet with the rapper Fababy first put her on the French charts. Her debut album Journal intime came out in 2017, and Nakamura followed in 2018, went diamond in France and sold more than 1.2 million copies worldwide on the back of "Djadja" and "Copines". She has six number-one songs and two number-one albums in France.
