ARKAYLA are a British indie-rock band from Manchester, a four-piece formed in 2020 around vocalist and guitarist Cal Blakebrough, guitarist Finely Rubens, bassist Theo Savage and drummer Patrick Hanbury. Their sound fuses 2000s indie sensibilities with layered, chiming guitars, Beatles-tinged harmonies and a sharper modern edge, owing much to the Manchester lineage of Oasis, The Smiths and Stone Roses. Their debut single "Calling Time" earned praise from Elbow's Guy Garvey on BBC 6 Music, and their 2024 EP Ella Malone broadened their profile, winning support from CLASH, Radio X's John Kennedy and BBC Radio London's Gary Crowley. The band's rise has been swift and stage-driven, moving from support slots at Rebellion in 2022 to a sold-out headline show at Manchester's Ritz in 2026.
