Al Porter, born Alan Kavanagh in 1993, is an Irish comedian, actor, pantomime star, writer and radio broadcaster. He has been acting since he was ten and has starred in several Christmas pantomime productions at the Olympia Theatre in Dublin. By twenty-two he was able to sell out Vicar Street for three nights as the headline act. He took a show to the Edinburgh Festival in August 2016, where The Guardian and The London Standard both reviewed it positively, and in February 2017 he began a lunchtime show on Today FM. He is working again as a comedian after a hiatus.
