2 Chainz is the stage name of Tauheed Epps, an American rapper born in 1977 in College Park, Georgia, known for his Southern trap style and quotable, punch-line-heavy verses. After years building a following, he broke through with the 2012 album Based on a T.R.U. Story, which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 on the strength of singles "No Lie" and "Birthday Song." He has since released records including Pretty Girls Like Trap Music and Rap or Go to the League, and won a Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance for his guest turn on Chance the Rapper's "No Problem." A ubiquitous collaborator, 2 Chainz sold out most dates of his first solo world tour and remains a high-energy, crowd-commanding live headliner.
